Face of the day:

Hello everybody, I am sorry I haven't posted in a while but I have been busy with school work. This blog post is a collaboration with the lovely: pretty_perfectxoxo, I will leave a link to her blog here:  evhttp://prettyperfectxoxo.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1. A lot of you have requested to see my evening going out make up routine, so I have decided to write a blog post on how to create this look:

First I used the Benefit's 'porefessional' which helps reduce the look of pores, which makes your base make up look much smoother. I then decided to use a mixture of my Nars Sheer Glow and Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. This is because I wanted a full coverage combination, which would last all evening. I wouldn't use the Estée Lauder foundation on an everyday basis as it has a very thick consistency, however if you suffer with acne and you want to cover your blemishes, then this may be a good foundation for you.

I then placed the Collection 'lasting perfection' concealer under my eyes to reduce the appearance of dark circles. This also helps to brighten your eye area. After I had applied my concealer, I used the Rimmel 'stay matte powder' all over my face. This helps to set the make up, which helps it last longer.

To fill in my eyebrows I used the Benefit 'Browzings' in the shade light. To apply the wax and powder I used the Mac 266 angled brush. This allows me to create a good, precise shape when filling in my brows.

On my cheeks I used the 'Mary-Lou-Manizer' which created a healthy shimmer across the tops of my cheek bones. For blusher, I used the Benefit blush in 'Hervana' this is a pink toned blusher which doesn't have a lot of shimmer. It creates a beautiful flush of colour onto the apples of your cheeks. For contour I used a mixture of the Nars 'Languna' bronzer and the Benefit 'Hoola'. By using my bold metals '301' contour brush, I was able to create a natural looking contour which enhanced my natural bone structure.

On my eyes I used the Too Faced 'natural eyes palette'. This is a gorgeous palette filled with neutral shades, which you could wear for any occassion. I used the shades: silk teddy, sexspresso and erotica. I used the lightest shade (which is silk teddy) on the first part of my eye lid and then used sexspresso, which is a matte dark brown, in the crease to add definition. I then use a tiny bit of erotica on the outer half of my eye lid to add depth. I used my favourite eyeliner which is the Collection 'fast stroke' eyeliner in the shade black. I created a thin line near the lash line and then winged it out to create a cat-eye effect. For mascara, I used my Chanel 'sublime de chanel' mascara which lengthens my lashes.

Lastly, I used M.A.C's 'soar' lip liner which is a gorgeous pinky/brown shade. I often use this lip liner as it lasts for an extremely long time.

Thank you so much for reading this blog post, I hope you enjoyed it!

Nars Sheer Glow Review:

Hello everybody, today I thought that I would blog about one of my favourite make up items. I recently bought Nars Sheer Glow about a month ago, and I think that it was one of the best purchases I have ever made! Many Youtubers rave about this product, and I didn't know whether to follow the hype or not but I did and I do not regret it. This product retails for £31 however, I would recommend getting a pump with it as it is quite hard to pour a good size amount onto your hand. I either pour out too much or too little- how annoying! Aside from that, I have no other negative points about the Nars sheer glow foundation as it is truly amazing.

The foundation provides a medium coverage, which is buildable depending on how much you apply. I usually use around a pump for the whole of my face, however I tend to add more if needed. The foundation itself comes in a variety of shades, so you can use it if you have lighter or darker skin tones. I use the shade 'Mont Blanc' which is a good colour match for my skin.

I really love the feel of this foundation on my skin, it doesn't feel heavy at all. It makes my skin feel light and healthy, which makes the product useable for school. I find it quite hard to get a long lasting foundation, which will keep my skin looking fresh all day but Nars sheer glow is perfect. This isn't matte or dewy foundation it is a mixture of the two. Depending on your skin type (oily, combination or dry) depends on if you want to apply powder. I usually powder my t-section, however I leave my cheeks bare as I love the effect it gives. By adding powder it sets the foundation into place, helping with the durability of the product.
